He explained that while research is being conducted on environmental factors such as soil and water analyses related to cancer in Northern Cyprus, laboratory studies are ongoing at the Imperial College to develop drugs.

Camgöz emphasized that the cancer drug developed in light of their joint work with Imperial College is ready for clinical trials, and he provided information about scholarship recipients and their studies at KAV (The Cancer Research Foundation), stating their aim to provide 2 new scholarships.

Özge Özbekoğlu, President of the Süleyman Cengiz Eminoğlu Foundation, mentioned that the foundation was established in 2020 to implement projects that contribute to children and youth in social, sports, and educational fields following the passing of Süleyman Cengiz Eminoğlu from childhood cancer neuroblastoma.

Özbekoğlu stated that they have signed a 4-year cooperation protocol to collaborate with the foundation and mentioned that while supporting the Cancer Research Foundation’s work, they also conduct research on supportive herbal treatments for cancer.
