ARIEL FIREFIGHTERS ARE CARRYING OUT EFFORTS

It has been reported that Ariel firefighters have joined the combat against the fire, which has spread over a wide area due to the effects of the wind.

According to Haber Kıbrıs, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Dursun Oğuz noted that a Security Forces Command helicopter joined the fire extinguishing efforts.

Oğuz announced that following initiatives from the Turkish Cypriot side, the British bases dispatched an aircraft to tackle the fire.

FIRE CONTINUES AT 7-8 DIFFERENT AREAS

North Cyprus Prime Ministry Undersecretary Hüseyin Cahitoğlu stated that the fire was continuing at 7-8 different areas in the Yeşilırmak region.

Stating that it was difficult to battle the fire that was in a steep and high place, Cahitoğlu said that necessary measures were taken to prevent the fire from spreading to Lefke (Lefka) and the villages close by.

HEAVY WINDS ARE MAKING FIRE-EXTINGUISHING EFFORTS TOUGHER
