VP Oktay “TRNC should be recognized by other states”

Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay stated that Türkiye wants the “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” to be recognized by other states.
Oktay reminded of the words of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly regarding this issue, “We wish for Türkiye’s friends to recognize the TRNC”.
Oktay said, “The phase we have reached now is an advanced phase. So we now want to be recognized but not only by the members of the Organization of Turkic States. We want Türkiye’s friends to recognize the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus from now on.” he said.
