The book launch night and exhibition of the second book of the Sapphire Series, “The Eternal Love”, written and illustrated by Kemal B. Caymaz, the Prince of Turkish Cypriot Young Fantasy Literature, will take place on Saturday, 4th of November 2023, at Bellapais Monastery.
The English edition of “The Eternal Love”, was published by Işık Kitabevi in 2020. The book translated to English by Esat Ulusol and the cover was designed by Raif Kızıl. The book will be available for sale during the launch night.
Kemal B. Caymaz, the writer of the series, will welcome his readers on the red carpet with his suit designed by famous fashion Turkish Cypriot designer Abdullah Öztoprak . He will sign his books after the welcome talk.
The theme of the night is “Royal Wedding” and many different surprises will be experienced by the guests.
The magnificent wedding scene of Sapphire, the Prince of the Kingdom of the Morningstar, and Lâl, Princess of the Kingdom of the Anisoptera, will be read as an audio book with the voice of Cypriot actress Hatice Tezcan, accompanied by models of the characters drawn by the Azerbaijani Artist Hanım Taghiyeva.
The night sponsored by Culture Department Directorate, Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation, American University of Cyprus, Kyrenia Municipality, CityMall, Telsim Vodafone group company and the Cyprus Paper Artists Association.
“The Eternal Love” Exhibition will be opened in the Cellar section of Bellapais Monastery.
The exhibition, which will feature the works of İnci Kansu, İsmet Tatar, Emel Samioğlu, Eser Keçeci, Mustafa Öztunç, Gökçe Keçeci, Şenol Özdevrim, Kemal B. Caymaz, Raif Kızıl, Rana Özdoğa, Ülviye Perçinci Oksu, Hanım Taghiyeva, Fatma Özok, Mine Korudağ, Tülay Pirgalıoğlu, Özge Yücesoy, Mandana Mehrnia, Gonca Akbudak, Feza Sanıvar and İmge Tonyalı who are inspired by the book. The exhibition will be open until 10th of November 2023.
