South of Cyprus received first information from US about sanctions

Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides has said that the Cypriot ( Greek) authorities have received the first package of information from the US regarding natural and legal persons included in the US sanctions list, while two more packages are expected soon.
Speaking after a Council of Ministers meeting on Monday, Christodoulides said there would soon be specific announcements about the matter.
“Soon you will hear certain specific decisions on the government’s part, perhaps even at the upcoming Council of Ministers meeting, regarding this issue.”he said.
He also said he had spoken with the attorney general and would forward all information to the competent authorities so they can begin their examination.
According to local media reports, the Greek Cypriot authorities have received a massive 800-pages file.
