The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) announced the new tariffs that will be valid as of today. Housing tariffs have been increased between 0.25 and 0.74 TL per kWh.
According to the new tariff, the first single rate 500 kWh for domestic use remains at 0.3442 TL, while the rest of the domestic tariffs have been increased between 0.25 and 0.74 kWh.
As usage increases, the overall cost of electricity rate increases.
In line with the three different domestic rates, the increases applied are as follows:
0.73 TL per kWh for the peak period
0.53 TL per kWh for the mid-peak period
0.35 TL per kWh for the off-peak period
Meanwhile, the standing charge on housing tariffs has increased from 25 TL to 33.50 TL.
Standing charges for single-phase electricity of commercial, tourism, industry and water engines and governmental offices have been increased from 35 TL to 46.90 TL. Three-phase electricity rates has increased from 50 TL to 67 TL. The standing charges for universities and casinos have increased from 8 TL to 10.72 TL.
