CMIRS Survey: Corruption is the biggest problem for the Turkish Cypriot people!

The Turkish Cypriot people complain that corruption, bribery and partisanship are the biggest problems in the country.

The survey results of the Center for Migration Identity and Rights Studies (CMIRS) for March 2023 have been announced.

According to Yenidüzen news, the happiness rate for the public in April has been calculated as 4.37, for June 2022-4.73 and for September 2022-4.99. These figures are the lowest since March 2015.

84.2 per cent of the participants complain of unfairness; 82.6 per cent of partisanship, 91 per cent of corruption, and 83 per cent of bribery.

According to the survey, 18.87 per cent of the participants said that they frequently felt helpless in the past week.

This rate was recorded as 35.74 per cent in the survey of December 2022, 33.47 per cent in September 2022 and 42.6 per cent in June 2022.

Among the participants, the rate of those who frequently felt hopeful in the last week was 59.8 per cent. This rate was 52.92 per cent in the survey in December 2022, 40.28 per cent in September 2022, and 42 per cent in June 2022.
