It has been reported that a toasted sandwich was prepared after cooking sujuk and eggs in a pan that was heated under the sun at 50 degrees heat in Adana.
The owners of Tostçu Mahmut, Mehmet Karaca and Mahmut Kurt who made an Adana Toast by cooking the sujuk and eggs in a sun-heated pan, at 50 degrees heat, said that they just wanted to show how hot the country actually is.
WE WANTED TO SHOW HOW HOT IT IS IN ADANA
Mehmet Karaca emphasized that the city was experiencing historical heat and said, “We cooked the ingredients under the sun to show people what kind of city we live in. We usually make this toasted sandwich on a ‘saç tava’ heated on fire. This time we let the pan wait under the sun for two hours and then cooked the ingredients. The toast was cooked really well. The result would have been much better if the pan had waited a little longer under the sun. Our aim is to offer this taste in Cologne, Germany which will be our second new branch that will soon open in Europe.”
